Point Vicente Interpretive Center Wedding

Saturday, Shaken Not Stirred provided bartending service for a wedding at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center in Rancho Palos Verdes. This was my first time working this venue and I hope to do many more weddings there. It is a beautiful venue on the cliffs overlooking the ocean and in view of the Point Vicente Lighthouse.  The building is home to a museum, which has some very interesting displays concerning the history of the area and the local wildlife, and sea life, etc.

There were nearly 200 guests at this wedding, so I took another bartender with me. We set up our portable bar outside on the patio as the wedding ceremony took place not far away at the small amphitheater they have there. We didn’t have much time to set up as the venue has strict rules about when you can start and finish, since it is a public space and a museum. Once the ceremony was over the line to the bar started building, and we handled the initial wave in record time.

Weddings at Point Vicente Interpretive Center

  • Beautiful views of ocean, park, and Lighthouse
  • Large area for dancing
  • Room and tables to seat 200 people
  • Close to Southbay communities
  • Memorable photo opportunities

We served margaritas, and many other standard drinks. The cocktail of the night favored by the groom and groomsmen was Jameson whiskey and orange juice. I had not seen that combination before but they say it is good. By the end of the night we served completely out of Jameson, Tito’s Vodka, and most of the tequila and Modelo. I think everybody had a great time, and I know we as bartenders did. The Point Vicente Interpretive Center is an excellent place to throw a wedding, anniversary party, or fundraiser.

Shots!

This coming week I have a corporate event in downtown Los Angeles on Friday and then another big wedding at the Reptacular Ranch in Sylmar on Saturday. I have booked many weddings all the way into April of 2019. I am still available on the 4th of July and hope to book an exciting party for that day. The nice thing about being a mobile bartender is not knowing what exciting place I will work next. Please follow Shaken Not Stirred on Instagram.
