The road to Nowhere is approximately 160 miles from Los Angeles. You pass through the town of Twentynine Palms, and then drive another 20 minutes, take a left and you end up Nowhere. Nowhere, California that is. A wedding and event venue set in the middle of nowhere, offering privacy and breathtaking desert vistas and magical sunsets. What happens nowhere stays nowhere. This is an exciting and unique venue and one of my favorites to work from. 

As a mobile bartender I have provided bar service for at least five weddings at Nowhere so far. They have a little bar trailer next to the pool and that is where the cocktail hour is usually held. The dinner tables are usually set up across the property, and we usually set up a portable bar somewhere close to the dance floor and dining area. We usually need about 30 minutes to transfer from one bar to another between the cocktail hour and the main part of the reception.

In each of the weddings I have provided bartending service to, I have offered my hydration station upgrade and the clients have opted for it. I provide a table with a black tablecloth, a water dispenser with ice water, and another two tiered dispenser with lemonade and ice tea.

This saves money, waste, and hassle of individual plastic bottles. I or one of my staff attend to the hydration station throughout the night, making sure it is replenished.

The most important thing is to plan carefully and buy everything that is needed and deliver it in advance. If you forget something that you need, the nearest store is probably 20 minutes away. I almost always help my clients with a shopping list, so they don’t miss anything. I also help my clients save money and hassle from overbuying. I am pretty good at predicting how much with be needed for specific drinks and not going way overboard. Liquor can not be returned and who wants to haul a bunch of extras home after the event.
